Quirky & Colourful glamping wedding style

Colourful festival vibes were the brief for this wedding, full of bunting, bright flowers, glamping tents full of boho decor and fairy lights around a cosy fire pit.

Styled & expertly organised by the fabulous team at Maple Weddings & Events and shot by Lee from Life and Love photography, her light and cheery photographs captured the atmosphere of the day perfectly.

The invitations were from my 'Blooming Peony' Collection, a beautiful suite of stationery with loose watercolour peonies and relaxed brush lettering for the couple's names to create a romantic feel. Pairing it with a bright pink envelope really made the suite pop more than usual to compliment the colourful style of the day.

Nyssa & Mitchum dressed in wedding attire that said no to the usual suit and white dress, looked and felt more themselves.

Nyssa wore an ethereal off the shoulder dress in soft pinky blush and Mitchum had his garb tailored for him by Pete from Pete sews, the floral shirt was like nothing I had seen before for a wedding and complimented the flowers brilliantly.

Set in the sprawling Mali Retreat, with it’s glamping area, white barn and landscaped gardens, it was such a lovely spot for a festival style wedding. Quirky vintage furniture in shades of orange made the large barn seem cosier and made for great photos.

A classic Australian ceremony outside in the sunshine enjoying the flowers, it made for an intimate ceremony spot. I created a couples portrait for the welcome sign and small illustrations for the running of the day.

This can be a great idea if you have lots planned you need your guests to be aware of - like if there is a pizza van at cocktail hour, but then there is a formal dinner afterward - you don’t want already full guests looking devastated at that lovely plated pork belly!

The vintage style Photo Booth was such a hit, with bright fabric backdrop to compliment the colours of the beautiful flowers arranged by Fiesta Flora. The day just seemed to sing.

Mali has enough space for your guests to stay onsite in glamping tents, once set up with luxuriant furniture inside even your grandparents will be chuffed to stay in one! The vintage boho decor are also perfect for your photos in the golden light hour.

That Pizza guy in his vintage truck made delicious pizza - a simple meal but oh so yummy and kept the relaxed atmosphere going. (Can confirm the pizza’s were delicious)

Intimate candles lit up the tables in the evening, sitting amongst the sparkling crystal wine glasses and colourful spring flowers for a lovely effect.
